WASILLA — Palmer rallied late, but Wasilla held on for a 46-43 boys basketball win over the Moose Tuesday night at Wasilla High School.
Palmer trailed by 11 points early in the fourth quarter and used a 12-3 run to pull within a possession. Wasilla managed to stay in the lead, with a late Alex Baham bucket and a pair of Koby Burns free throws during the final seconds.
Baham led the Warriors with a game-high 17 points. Burns and Cash McGregor added eight points each.
James Nisbett scored all 10 of his points in the second half, including key free throws in the fourth quarter. After he was fouled on a three-point attempt, Nisbett hit all three free throws to pull the Moose within two points.

Nisbett led all players with 10 rebounds.
In girls’ action, Wasilla senior Shayla Johnson scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Warriors to a 43-23 win over Palmer. Johnson, who drained six three-pointers in the game, scored 16 of her team’s 18 first-half points.
