PALMER — Snow was falling at Palmer High School’s Machetanz Field, but it was a barrage of Wasilla goals that buried the Moose.
Alexa Starr scored four times to lead Wasilla to an 11-1 girls soccer win over Palmer Monday evening. Teyonnah Williams and Daija Doughty added two each. Phoebe Christiansen, Addie Mesick and Alia Donley also scored for Wasilla.
Haley Hanson scored Palmer’s lone goal in the game.
Wasilla improved to 2-0 in Northern Lights Conference action, while Palmer dropped to 0-2.
Wasilla boys blank Moose
PALMER — Wasilla scored a 4-0 NLC boys soccer win over rival Palmer at PHS Monday.
Trout Millhouse, Elijah Hall, Kyle Broach and Grig Lozko each scored for the Warriors. Nikita Antonov registered the shutout.
Colony girls get past Houston
HOUSTON ¬— Peyton Johnstone and Bristyl Baker each scored twice to lead Colony to a 5-1 girls soccer win over Houston Monday at Houston High School.
Kaelor Moulton also scored in the win.
Colony boys beat Houston
HOUSTON — Ben Sande and Cameron Shaw each notched hat tricks to lead Colony to a 12-0 win over Houston Monday at Houston High.
Jimmy Goyette scored twice, and Brett Hintz, Chayton Dinger and Alex Valdez finished with a goal each.
