The Wasilla Warriors scored a pair of big basketball wins over rival Palmer Tuesday night at Palmer High School.
The Wasilla boys cruised to a 92-57 win over the Moose. Parker Kroon scored a game-high 31 points, hitting 14 shots from the field. Arthur Adams drained eight three-pointers ans finished with 27 points. Trent Truax added 10 points.
Wasilla opened with 33 points in the first quarter and had 29 in the third.
Deandra Nika led Palmer with 20 points. Nika scored 12 of Palmer’s 17 points in the first quarter.
Earlier Thursday, the Wasilla girls beat Palmer 70-21. Layla Hays led Wasilla with 23 points. She scored 15 of Wasilla’s 28 first-quarter points. Katie Jackson added 10 points. Kaydence Gittlein chipped in seven.
Maija Huckabay led Palmer with 11 points.
