The Wasilla Warriors girls basketball program enjoyed a lopsided win and recognized a pair of their own for recent milestones in front of the home crowd Friday night at Wasilla High School.

Wasilla ran past Northern Lights Conference rival Soldotna 69-10. Layla Hays led the Warriors with 25 points.

Wasilla girls longtime head coach was honored for hitting 600 career wins late last month. Senior Mylee Anderson was recognized for scoring her 1,000th career point during a recent win over Juneau-Douglas.

The next day, Wasilla beat Soldotna 63-19. Hays and Savannah Kroon scored a dozen points each.

Wasilla also picked up an 87-63 nonconference win over Service on Feb. 13. Hays scored 33 in the win.

The Wasilla boys also swept Soldotna, beating the Stars 73-41 and 63-50.
