Warriors third, Moose fourth in Homer Quad

HOMER — The Wasilla Warriors and Palmer Moose placed third and fourth respectively in the team standings of the 2008 Homer Quad swimming and diving meet in Homer on Friday.

Christian Long, Jeff Frey and Charles Frey each won individual events to lead Wasilla to a third-place finish in the boys’ team standings.

Long won the 200-yard individual medley, Jeff Frey was first in the 200 freestyle and Charles Frey placed first in the 100 backstroke.

Jeff Frey also won the 500 freestyle.

Rachel Kennedy helped the Wasilla girls also finish third in the team standings with a win in the 1-meter dive.

Stacy Swindells led the Palmer girls to a fourth-place finished in the team standings with a sixth-place finish in the 100 freestyle.

The Palmer boys also placed fourth in the team standings.
