Wasilla Area Seniors hosts annual race

WASILLA —Thomas Luchsinger was the top runner during the annual Miles for Meals Fun Run last Saturday in Wasilla.

Luchsinger finished the 5-kilometer race in 21 minutes and 27 seconds to win Miles for Meals, a fundraiser for the Wasilla Area Seniors’ Meals on Wheels program. John Breweier finished second at 21:58, and 15-year-old Shannon Carpenter notched third with a time of 22:31.

Theresa Johnson was the first woman to cross the finish line, posting a time of 27:20.
