PALMER — Nolan Monaghan scattered seven hits over six shutout innings to lead Wasilla to a 10-0 win over Colony at Hermon Brothers Field on Thursday.
Monaghan fanned two and did not allow a walk.
Blake Marks drove in three for the Warriors. Cooper Hanson and Tyler Hansen finished with a pair of RBI each, and Hansen also scored three runs.
Mitchell Chauvin was 2 for 3 at the plate with three runs scored.
Senior leads WHS past Hawks
WASILLA — When senior Tyler Hansen wasn’t getting the job done on the mound, he was busy doing it at the plate.
Hansen cracked a home run, and combined with two other pitchers to complete a shutout during a 10-0 win over Houston Monday.
Hansen allowed only one hit and fanned four during 4 1/3 innings of work, and earned the win on the mound for the Warriors. Seniors Tyler Boensch and Cooper Hanson pitched in relief to help the Warriors preserve the shutout.
Hansen also finished 2 for 4 at the plate, hit a home run and drove in two. Hanson was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Hansen, Sam Loyer and Mitchell Chauvin scored two runs each.
