Wasilla boys earn win over SoHi

WASILLA — Kobe Brown scored 17 points to lead the Wasilla Warriors to a 52-29 boys basketball win over the Soldotna Stars Saturday afternoon at Wasilla High School.

Isaac Houck added 11 points and 10 rebounds to help Wasilla improve to 2-0 in Northern Lights Conference play.

Wasilla travels to Colony Tuesday to face the Knights at 7:30 p.m.

Colony wins at West

The Colony Knights finished its weekend at the Alaska Airlines Classic with a 74-33 win over Longmont (Colorado) Saturday afternoon at West High.

Tyler Boyer led the Knights with 16 points in the win. Isaiah Neuner added 14, Brandon Nicholson and Joshua James scored 11 each and Anton Chamblee finished with 10. Colony finished 1-2 in the tournament.

Lions sweep Hawks

The Anchorage Christian School Lions swept a varsity doubleheader against visiting Houston Friday at ACS.

Houston’s Ben Bitler scored 23 points during a 83-60 boys’ loss. Kolby Taylor added 16. Kimberly Quincy enjoyed a monster game for the Houston girls, collecting 29 points and 20 rebounds, but ACS was able to grab the 56-45 victory.
