Wasilla boys, girls fall in tourney

EAGLE RIVER — A pair of Wasilla soccer squads saw their seasons come to an end Friday in Eagle River.

In boys’ action, Service used an overtime goal to edge Wasilla 1-0 in the consolation semifinals. In the girls consolation semifinals, 2013 state champion Dimond blanked Wasilla 4-0.

The Wasilla boys opened with a 1-0 loss to rival Colony in the quarterfinals.

The Wasilla girls also played a rival, and suffered a 2-0 loss to Kenai.
