Wasilla boys, girls sweep Knights

The Wasilla Warriors and Colony Knights boys and girls met for the final time during the 2021 regular season, and Wasilla walked away with the sweep.

The Wasilla boys scored a 56-46 win over previously undefeated Colony. The Warrior girls notched a 47-37 win over the Knights.

Andrew Devine scored 15 points to lead the Wasilla boys. The senior captain hit 4 of 5 free throws in the fourth quarter. Dylan Jeffus hit four three-pointers for the Warriors, one in each quarter.

Jeremiah Hersrud scored a game-high 17 points for the Knights. The senior scored all nine of Colony’s first-quarter points. Patrick McMahon added 13.

Hallie Anderson scored 16 points to lead the Wasilla girls over Colony. Bella Hays added 13 in the win. Maggie Spencer led Colony with 11. Indiya Clarke added eight.
