Wasilla Chamber off to a new start

The Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce is clicking on all cylinders. Our meetings have been dynamic and well-attended. The atmosphere is fun, entertaining and informative. Many folks show up early and stay late for networking opportunities. There are door prizes galore, shout-outs, business spotlights and important member announcements.

The wonderful guest speakers come from diverse backgrounds and offer the experiences of their employment or project environments. One of the neatest things about Wasilla chamber is the age range of members and guests. Our attendees range from business professionals in their 20s to retired “do-gooders.” We even have school kids attend with their parents (our future community leaders getting a head start).

We usually hold our meetings downstairs at the Grand View Inn and Suites on the Parks Highway. When you enter the building there is a great table to show off your business brochures and promo items. The program fee is a mere $5 and lunch is optional with a buffet and some select menu items. We meet on Tuesdays and people start arriving around 11:30 a.m., with the program starting at noon. We try to finish the program around 1 p.m., and many stay as late as 1:30 p.m., meeting presenters and networking with fellow chamber members. One important note is that you do not have to be a member to attend our chamber meetings. We are open to the public. I will say that membership does have its privileges, so inquire if interested.

I truly look forward to meeting you at a future Wasilla chamber luncheon. The world belongs to those who show up. You can check out our website, wasillachamber.org, for more information.

It pays to come to chamber.
