WASILLA — The Wasilla and Colony girls each scored a pair of key Railbelt Conference soccer wins against Fairbanks opponents over the weekend.
Wasilla edged Lathrop 1-0 on Saturday and beat West Valley 2-0 on Friday. Raeley Carney scored the game-winner against the Malemutes. Nicole Catlett grabbed the assist. Catlett and Alexis Friesen scored against the Wolfpack. Aleks Kvalheim recorded both shutouts.
Colony beat Lathrop 4-0 on Friday at West Valley 5-1 on Saturday.
The Colony boys split a pair of conference games, beating Lathrop 3-0 before falling to West Valley 1-0.
The Wasilla boys beat Lathrop 2-0 on Saturday.
Palmer girls score win over Grace
The Palmer Moose scored a 2-1 girls soccer win over Grace Christian Thursday in Anchorage.
Delaney Shults scored Palmer’s first goal, and Catherine Uschmann provided the game-winner with a penalty kick.
