The Wasilla Warriors started their 2024 prep soccer season by sweeping the Grace Christian Grizzlies in Anchorage.
Alia Shane used four goals and an assist to lead the Wasilla girls to a 9-0 win over Grace. Lainey Kroon added two goals and an assist. Makenna Hanson had a goal and team-high four assists. Ki Schachle and Morgan Mahoney also scored. Ella Hale and Kamea Ostermiller combined for the shutout in goal.
Tobin Michaud led the Wasilla boys with a pair of goals during a 3-0 win over Grace. Aristotle Chacon also scored. Billy Kelley, Daniel Litvinchuk and Dawson Shumway finished with assists. Sawyer DeKriuf earned the shutout in goal.
The Colony girls scored a 2-0 win over Bartlett.
Savannah Anderson earned the shutout in goal, and also converted a penalty kick to give the Knights a 1-0 lead in the second half. Hannah Hoffman also scored.
The Colony boys beat Bartlett 7-1.
Isaac Villa led the Knights with two goals and an assist. Devon Smith had a goal and an assist. Johnny Figgins, Matt Crawford, Alex King and Kaden Lynch also scored.
Mason Irsik and Jamon O’Bryan combined for the shutout.
