The Wasilla Warriors and Colony Knights opened the Railbelt Conference season with a varsity soccer split Tuesday night at Colony High School.
Makenna Hanson used a pair of goals to lead Wasilla to a 4-2 win over Colony. Jordan Sande finished with a goal and an assist. Captain Violet Schachle opened the scoring. Chloe Fletcher also had an assist.
Avrie Giegerich scored both goals for the Knights.
Colony earned a 3-0 win over the Wasilla boys. Johnny Figgins scored twice to lead the Knights. Isaac Villa also scored.
Palmer swept Redington in Northern Lights Conference action Tuesday night at Palmer High.
Lila Pettit scored the lone goal in a 1-0 girls victory over the Huskies. The Palmer boys beat Redington 14-1. Kaleb Von Gunten led the Moose with four goals. Cole Miller and Finn Adams scored two goals each. Elijah Von Gunten, Jacob Logan, Noah Gallego, Porter Johnson, Steljo Wolcoff and Jackson Charton also scored.
