Wasilla driver wins season opener at Alaska Raceway Park

BUTTE — The final run in the race for the Hunison Cup was ET Bracket racing at its finest. Clint Van Noy of Wasilla dialed in a time of 9.40 and ran a 9.4007 while John Postishek of Anchorage dialed a 9.38 and ran a 9.3802. The final round was a double streak of red, but Van Noy took the win in his gleaming red Willys coupe due to his .0155 reaction time.

Despite having the faster MPH of 134.87, Postishek ,in a red Camaro, placed second. Both veteran racers appreciated winning the trophies given in memory of Bill and Jay Hunison, former champions at Alaska Raceway Park.
