The Alaska State Medical Board adopted a Voluntary Surrender of License Sept. 18 from Dr. Duane Odland, who operated a family practice clinic in Wasilla, Odland Family Practice Clinic.
According to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Odland had been notified that there was an open complaint inquiry into allegations that he engaged in sexual and ethical misconduct with multiple patients during medical appointments.
There are further allegations that failed to accurately document those appointments in the involved patients’ medical records.
Odland chose to voluntarily surrender his medical license in lieu of further investigative activity into the matter from the licensing division.
This is a developing story.
