KODIAK — Another race, another win for Jenna Ford.
Ford, a Wasilla freshman who has already finished first in three different inviationals, used a time of 19 minutes and 33 seconds to finish first among a three-team field at Kodiak High School last Friday.
Ford, who beat Kodiak’s Chloe Ivanoff by 20 seconds, pulled the Warriors team score down to a meet-best 27 points.
Kodiak finished second with 31 and Port Lions finished third.
Mandi Ringenberg and Morgan Dampier finished fourth and fifth for the Warriors.
In the boys’ race, senior Drew Ford led the Warriors with a second-place finish. His time of 17:23 put him 50 seconds behind first-place Dylan Anthony of Kodiak.
Mike Johnston and Alden Lee finished fifth and sixth for WHS.

HOUSTON — The Houston Hawks suffered a pair of nonconference losses last week at Houston High.
On Friday, Homer beat Houston. On Saturday, Skyview scored a 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-14) win at HHS.
