Town Square Art Gallery presents a one-woman art show featuring new artwork by nationally acclaimed artist Jennifer Bowman from 4 to 7 p.m., June 2. Her new original acrylics pay tribute to the amazing Alaska landscape, wildlife and flowers in energetic and vibrant colors. Bowman, a former Alaskan, will sign and personalize a special show poster, “Pioneer Moonrise,” at the Town Square Art Gallery in the Carrs Wasilla Mall. Refreshments and appetizers will be served.
“I believe everyone is an artist in some way, whether it is the presentation of a fine meal or the construction of a beautiful home, the wording of a contract or the way a mother raises a child,” Bowman said. “Each of us has the ability to make art. Mine just happens to be in paint.”
Jennifer is a third-generation artist and winner of the Skagit Valley Tulip poster contest for 2004 and the 2004 Edmonds Arts Festival Poster. She also has designed Washington state’s new Heritage Birth Certificate and is currently working with Eddie Bauer on its summer catalog cover.
