Wasilla girl wins national pageant

Several Valley girls recently competed in the Miss National Pre-Teen and Pre-Teen Petite Pageant.

Jessica Unger, the 5-year-old daughter of Bryce and Tara Unger of Wasilla, was crowned the 2003 National Petite Princess.

The young girl won a $500 savings bond, crown, sash, trophy, flowers, a paid trip to the 2004 pageant, a breakfast weekend at the Orlando Airport Marriot, luggage, a watch, backpack and gift certificate to Premier Prom and Pageantry.

Willow's Kaela Larson, the 12-year-old daughter of Link and Kelly Larson, placed in the top 10 nationally in the Pre-Teen pageant.

Other Valley girls who participated in the National Pre-Teen Princess Pageant included Bree Glasgow, the 12-year-old daughter of the Ungers; Seaira Reno, the 12-year-old daughter of Bill and Robin Reno of Wasilla; and MacKenzie Sherman, the 13-year-old daughter of Lee and Kelley Sherman of Wasilla.

Valley girls who also participated in the National Petite Princess Pageant included Natasha Pitre, the 7-year-old daughter of Mike and Katrina Pitre of Palmer.

Gabrielle Pitre, her 5-year-old sister, competed in the open class party dress and gown division of the national pageant.
