ANCHORAGE — The Wasilla Warriors are battling for their second 4A state title since 2007.

Juneau, the team the Warriors beat in that 2007 championship match, held a 22-15 halftime advantage.

Junior Kelsey Cottle led the Warriors with seven points at the half. She also pulled down five rebounds and blocked a shot.

Senior Skyler Nuss did not play for most of the first half due to an apparent elbow injury.

Taylor Larson and Annette Highley each had eight points during the first half for the Warriors.
