WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors completed a two-game sweep of Interior opponents with a 51-43 girls basketball win over West Valley Saturday at Wasilla High.
Shayla Johnson hit four three-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Warriors. Cassidy Edwards added a dozen, and McKenna Dinkel finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Carlee Marques led West Valley with a game-high 18 points.
Friday, Wasilla forced 32 turnovers and held Lathrop to 25 percent shooting during a 64-30 win over the Malemutes. Johnson netted 13 for Wasilla. Dinkel, Edwards and Amanda Hutchins scored seven each. Dinkel pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
Wasilla is now 9-7 overall.

Wasilla boys speed past Patriots
WASILLA — Fueled by a fast start, Wasilla cruised to an 83-46 win over North Pole Thursday at Wasilla High School.
Cameron Brown hit a pair of first-quarter three-pointers, and Emillio Carney and Alex Baham also had first-quarter threes. Wasilla jumped to a 20-4 first-quarter lead and held a 42-13 advantage at halftime.
Baham knocked down four three-pointers and scored a game-best 27 points.
In other action, Lathrop beat Wasilla 57-48 on Friday. West Valley scored a 63-54 victory over Wasilla on Saturday.
