The Wasilla girls and Colony boys earned team titles during the Region III tennis championships at Alaska Club East in Anchorage.
Wasilla girls doubles team Savannah Littlechief and Jordyn Wold led the Warriors with a win in two sets (6-4, 7-5) in the championship match against Kodiak. Kaitlyn Hample and Caleb McElvain were also second for the Warriors in the mixed double division.
Wyatt Gordon and Jake Wagner helped lead Colony to the boys team title. The pair swept the top two spots in boys singles, with Gordon placing first and Wagner second. Ethan St. John and Seth Wargo placed second in the boys doubles for the Knights.
Emily Crawford led the Colony girls with a first-place finish in the singles.
Shyla Phillips and Parker Johnson won the mixed doubles division to lead Palmer.
All of the above qualified for the ASAA state championships, which start Thursday at Alaska Club East.
Hample, Littlechief and Wold represented Wasilla on the girls al-conference team, and Phillips made the list for Palmer. St. John made the boys all-conference team for Colony, and was also joined by Palmer’s Wyatt Jacob, and Wasilla’s Tam Nguyen and Rome Breshears.
