Wasilla girls get past Chugiak

The Wasilla girls soccer squad improved to 3-0-2 in conference play with a 2-1 win over Chugiak Monday.

Alia Shane led the Warriors with a goal and an assist. Livia Breshears also scored. Ella Hale made 18 saves in the Wasilla net to help grab the win.

Wasilla also improved to 4-0-3 overall.

Wasilla played to a scoreless tie with Lathrop Saturday. The Warriors also tied West Valley 1-1 on Friday. Kiara Shane scored the lone goal.

In other girls action, Homer beat Palmer 6-2. Cearsten Dosser-Moffit and Liv Solis scored for Palmer.

The Palmer boys beat Nikiski 14-0 on Friday. Fischer Adams and David Beams each had a hat trick.

Palmer also beat Homer 6-1. Adams, Beams, Bryce Bowen, Benji Doland, Josh Horacek and Porter Johnson scored goals.
