The Wasilla Warriors opened their Railbelt Conference slate with a big victory over a Valley rival Tuesday night.
Freshman Kylie Taylor used two goals and two assists to help lead her team to a 5-1 win over Colony. Sophomores Chloe Fletcher, Allie Johnson and Molly O’Neill added goals.
Larkynn Miner made 15 saves to record the win in net.
Hannah Hofmann scored for Colony.
The Colony and Wasilla boys played to a 1-1 tie. Blake Carveth found the back of the net on a direct kick from 35 yards out for the Knights.
In other action, the Palmer Moose boys blanked Houston 6-0.
Freshman Daniel Marciales scored twice. Evan Perry, Kaleb Von Gunten and Jackson Charton also scored. Parker Johnson converted a penalty kick.
