WASILLA — A 22-year-old man surrendered to Alaska State Troopers after a three-hour standoff Tuesday morning at his residence on Fairview Loop.
The incident began when troopers attempted to contact Caton W. Hislop, 22, of Wasilla, who had a $20,000 arrest warrant for failure to comply with probation conditions on an original charge of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance around 2:25 a.m., Nov. 27.
Troopers report Hislop barricaded himself in the residence, but surrendered after about three hours and was arrested without incident.
Troopers said Hislop, a convicted felon, was in possession of two handguns.
He also attempted to conceal a controlled substance, which he attempted to introduce into the pre-trail facility.
Hislop was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $20,000 cash only bail.
