A woman is dead and a Wasilla man has been charged with second-degree murder.
Edwin Clawson, 39, was arrested Sunday night. Alaska State Troopers received a request for a welfare check and responded to a residence in Wasilla just before 10 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, troopers discovered Clawson in a driveway. Troopers also found a deceased female lying on the ground, according to an online dispatch posted Monday afternoon. Clawson was detained at the scene and arrested following an investigation of the scene. Troopers did not identify the deceased.
Clawson was arraigned on Monday afternoon and is scheduled to return to court March 26.
