WASILLA — A 24-year-old man is facing a litany of charges after troopers allege he rolled his vehicle while driving drunk and then lied about it.
According to an Alaska State Trooper press statement, Gabriel Dennis, 24, of Wasilla, was driving near Mile 11 of Palmer-Fishhook Road when the accident occurred Friday.
“Dennis attempted to conceal the crime of DUI by tampering with physical evidence and claiming that his vehicle had been stolen,” troopers report.
Dennis was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, filing a false report, tampering with physical evidence and violating a court order by driving a vehicle that did not have an ignition interlock device installed.
He was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $6,500 bail. Jail records Monday afternoon showed he was still there.
