A Wasilla man is facing multiple charges of sexual abuse of a minor.

Robert Davila Sr., 73, has been charged with five counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, according to court records. Davila was arraigned on April 6 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16.

Alaska State Troopers received a report on April 2 that Davila had assaulted four juveniles over the past eight years, according to an AST report, and Davila had allegedly threatened to harm the juveniles. An investigation also revealed potential previous victims and a potential abuse time frame from 2002 to 2021.

The Mat-Su General Investigative Unit conducted a traffic stop as Davila left his residence on April 6, and Davila was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing, according to troopers, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact AST at 745-2131.
