Wasilla man could face life in prison for importing methamphetamines

ANCHORAGE — The U.S. Attorney’s office announced Friday it has indicted a Wasilla man on charges he imported a half-pound of methamphetamine from Oregon.

According to a U.S. Attorney press release, Jory Kenneth Pritchett, 20, of Wasilla, is charged with one count of drug conspiracy. Pritchett allegedly brought the methamphetamines to Fairbanks from Portland in January 2010.

The potential maximum sentence for the crime is life in prison and a $4 million fine. The minimum includes a 10-year sentence. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and Port of Seattle Police Department put the case together, the U.S. Attorney reports.
