WASILLA — A Wasilla man is dead after an apparent ATV accident in the Eureka area, according to the Alaska State Troopers.
Huey Farrell, 42, was found dead by a search party on Aug. 14. Farrell, who left Wasilla on Aug. 7 to go sheep hunting in the Eureka area, was first reported missing on Aug. 11, according to an online dispatch posted by AST. Alaska Wildlife Troopers located Farrell’s truck in a parking area near Mile 123.5 of the Glenn Highway on Aug. 11. The initial search included Helo 4 on Aug. 12. The following day, AWT searched for Farrell on ATVs. The search party on Aug. 14 included AWT and four of Farrell’s friends.
Next of kin has been identified, and no foul play is suspected, according to troopers.
