A 44-year-old Wasilla man died Thursday afternoon in an apparent rafting accident on Montana Creek, according to Alaska State Troopers.
In an online dispatch posted Thursday night, troopers said they responded to the area around 1:45 p.m. after receiving a report that an overturned raft was hung up on a log jam.
“Investigation found that Lawrence Christopherson... died from an apparent rafting accident. The state medical examiner was notified. Next of kin has been notified.”
