WASILLA — A Wasilla man is in custody facing multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
Eric James Peterson, 35, was contacted at his residence in Wasilla, arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial. The Alaska State Troopers Child Abuse Investigation Unit received a report that Peterson had sexually abused a child for the past three years, according to an online dispatch posted by the Alaska State Troopers. Peterson is now facing six counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and three counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree.
Peterson was arraigned Wednesday afternoon, according to online court records.
