WASILLA — A Wasilla man is in custody and facing multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree.

Jeremy Strunk, 39, was arrested by Anchorage Police Department in May on three counts following incidents with a relative.

Strunk is scheduled to return to an Anchorage courtroom Oct. 25.

All three charges are unclassified felonies, and involve a victim under the age of 13.

According to court documents, Strunk admitted to APD that he had inappropriate physical contact with a minor over the course of three years. The abuse occurred in multiple places including his car, the building of a former employer in Wasilla and a relative’s home in Anchorage. Strunk also admitted to showing the victim pornographic videos five times.

A relative observed Strunk inappropriately touching the victim in an Anchorage home April 28, according to court documents. Strunk claimed the victim was not feeling well, but the victim admitted to family members later that night that Strunk had been touching the victim inappropriately just before witnesses walked into the room.

Strunk told the victim that they could not tell anyone or he would go to jail.

Law enforcement monitored a call that Strunk made on May 2 where he admitted to the abuse, but claimed that it had only happened over the last year-and-a-half. That day, on May 2, Strunk was brought in by police after being contacted outside of a Wasilla business.
