WASILLA — A high-speed run from law enforcement Monday night ended with an emergency flight to an Anchorage hospital for a 33-year-old Wasilla man.
Alaska State Troopers say around 10:52 p.m., Sept. 23 they attempted to stop a blue Dodge pickup driven by Jeremiah Coley, 36, of Wasilla near the intersection of Bogard Road and Main Street after several moving violations.
Troopers say Coley fled, reaching speeds of 95 mph along Bogard Road. After passing through the intersection of Seward Meridian Parkway and Bogard Road, troopers say he lost control of his pickup, it entered the ditch and rolled several times.
When they reached the vehicle, troopers say Coley was unresponsive and found to be the sole occupant. They say he was removed from his pickup due to the risk of a vehicle fire and treated by an emergency medical crew that responded to the scene.
Coley was transported by LifeMed helicopter to Anchorage for treatment, according to the AST dispatch about the incident.
The Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol responded and is continuing to investigate. Troopers say alcohol appears to be a factor.
