WASILLA — A Wasilla man was found dead Sunday morning by a friend at the Mat-Su Resort, Alaska State Troopers report.
The body of Donnavan S. Shanigan, 32, was found around 9:30 a.m., in a cabin at the resort.
Troopers said CPR was performed on Shanigan before emergency responders arrived and declared him deceased.
Troopers Spokeswoman Megan Peters said foul play is not suspected in the death, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
On Monday, Mat-Su Resort owner John Emmi said his employees felt bad about Shanigan’s death, but were trying to get on with their day. Emmi said he didn’t know any details surrounding Shanigan’s death beyond what troopers have already released.
