A Wasilla man was found dead early Monday morning.
Alaska State Troopers received a report of gunshots fired at the intersection of Old Matanuska Road and S B Shannon Street in Wasilla at 4:39 a.m. Monday. Troopers responded and found Derek Welsh, 32, dead inside a vehicle. The death is being investigated as a homicide, troopers said in an online dispatch posted Monday afternoon.
Troopers are asking anyone with information about the death call 907-352-5401.
