WASILLA — A grand jury handed down a six-felony count indictment against 44-year-old Deemer Shawn Fryberger of Wasilla on Feb. 22.
Fryberger is charged with five Class C felonies of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one Class B felony count of second-degree sexual assault of a minor.
According to the indictment, all six incidents involved a female, now 16, and allegedly occurred between February of 2015 and March of 2016. The indictment states Fryberger engaged in sexual intercourse on five occasions — both inside and outside the home, and allegedly rubbed his exposed genitalia against the clothed victim once.
He was arraigned in Palmer Superior Court Feb. 23. Fryberger has an April 19 pretrial conference scheduled. Bail was set at $100,000 cash and a court-appointed third party.
