WASILLA — The Wasilla Museum and Visitor Center is hosting Chickaloon Village for a community workshop called Culture Share Wednesday, July 27.
Representatives from Chickaloon Village will share information about artifacts, beadwork, and other aspects of their culture with a birch basket-making activity at the end of the class.
Culture Share is one of several classes hosted by the Wasilla Museum through the Night at the Museum weekly series. This series features a variety of classes covering a range of topics such as crafting, gardening, art, writing, and nature. Each week is a new learning opportunity. Local groups and individuals from across the Valley offer various presentations and educational activities at the Wasilla Museum.
The Wasilla Museum offers tours throughout the summer. The Night at the Museum series runs every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. throughout June and July.
