WASILLA — The Wasilla Museum and Visitor Center recently launched the new Night at the Museum winter series following the success of the Night at the Museum Summer series.
Night at the Museum is an educational opportunity for locals that features variety of classes covering a range of topics such as crafting, gardening, art, science, safety, and cultural immersion.
Breanna Love of the Mat-Su Borough Office of Emergency Management led a presentation on emergency and disaster preparedness Sept. 30, officially kicking off the winter series.
“I thought it was great. It was very informative and very amusing,” Wasilla Museum aid Megan Bruckner said.
According to Bruckner, the plan is to feature a guest speaker once a month over the course of the winter.
“We were looking for ways to engage with organizations and people who are doing great work in the community and share that with visitors,” Bruckner said. “People seem to appreciate it.”
