Wasilla powers past South

The Wasilla Warriors used a pair of power play goals to score a 3-1 win over the South Anchorage Wolverines Tuesday at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.

Karson McGrew and Austin Petersen each scored with the advantage. Brett Woolcott gave the Warriors the early lead, scoring within the first minute of regulation.

McGrew, Woolcott, Branson Starheim, Sayer Sanders and Roman Holler had an assist each.

Gavin Fox scored the lone South goal.

South outshot Wasilla 27-24. Jakob Barcelona made 26 saves and earned the win in the Wasilla net.
