Wasilla representative retains district seat

WASILLA — Rep. Colleen Sullivan-Leonard retained her seat as District 7 Representative after running in both the primary and general elections unopposed.

Sullivan-Leonard is well connected, married to Assemblyman Ted Leonard and is also related to former Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan. Sullivan-Leonard held valuable committee appointments, sitting on House Health and Social Services, Labor and Commerce, and Transportation, as well as being a member of the House Select Committee on Legislative Ethics and the Taskforce on Reading Proficiency and Dyslexia.

Sullivan-Leonard received 5,203 votes in the general election. There were 260 write-in votes cast.
