Wasilla senior earns three wins at The Dome

ANCHORAGE — Wasilla senior Tyler Anderson snagged a trio of wins during the Grace Christian School Tuesday Night Invite earlier this week at The Dome in Anchorage.

Anderson sprinted to a win in the 200 meters, and was also victorious in the long jump and triple jump. Anderson won the 200 with a time of 23.78 seconds.

The Wasilla senior was the lone jumper to top the 40-foot mark in the triple jump. Wasilla sophomore Mitchell Rilatos finished second in the triple jump.

Wasilla senior Morgan Dampier led the Wasilla girls with wins in the 200 and 800. Wasilla freshman Peggy Mathins and senior Jessica Pahkala finished second and third respectively in the 200 and 800.

Junior Jenna Ford finished first in the 3,200. Ford also teamed with Mathis, Mariah Burroughs and Riley Burroughs to win the 1,600 relay.

Junior Alysha Devine finished first in the triple jump.

Senior Joe Day led the Palmer Moose with a first-place finish in the boys’ 800 meters. Day finished ahead of teammate Mason Minturn, who was second.
