WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors figured out a great way to celebrate Senior Night.
Wasilla seniors combined to score the final four Warriors goals, including three unanswered, as Wasilla skated to a 6-1 win over Chugiak Wednesday night at the Brett Arena in Wasilla.
Senior Jack Reeves scored twice during that stretch, and seniors Andrew Cooley and Troy Verplancke also added goals.
Junior Tanner Schachle led Wasilla with a four-point night, netting two goals and two assists. Schachle opened the game with a pair first-team special teams goals to give his team the 2-0 lead.
He scored shorthanded at the 12:48 mark, and added a power-play goal with 7:16 left in the first period.
Schachle, Cooley and senior Cooper Hanson had two assists each in the game.
Freshman Wyatt Monear made 17 saves for Wasilla, which closes its regular season Friday night at Palmer.
