MAT-SU - Two people were found dead and two others wounded after officers received a 911 call Wednesday night reporting multiple shootings at 975 Plymouth Circle in Wasilla.

Simone Greenway, 49, owner of the home where the shootings occurred, and William Anthony, 46, of Wasilla, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were transported by ambulance to area hospitals, according to a report from Alaska State Troopers. Troopers initially withheld information about the 47-year-old Anchorage man and 32-year-old Anchorage woman who died until notification of next of kin, the report said.

But, by late Thursday afternoon, troopers identified the dead as Jeffrey Evans and his wife, Carey Randall-Evans.

Investigation indicated the dead man shot the other people after a brief argument, then turned the .45 Glock pistol on himself, said Sgt. Craig Allen at the scene Thursday morning.

&#8220One of the victims got to the phone,” Allen said, as state crime lab technicians continued processing the scene in the increasing daylight.

&#8220The male guest just started shooting all the adults in the house,” Allen said.

The murder-suicide likely falls under the umbrella of domestic violence, because the dead couple were in a relationship, he said. The couple had been recent guests in Greenway's home, Allen said, and Anthony was Greenway's friend.

Troopers had to wait for search warrants before they investigated the house, Allen said. Allen said he had been there since 4:30 or 5 a.m.

An afternoon troopers press release stated Evans saw his wife and Greenway kissing, got mad, got a gun and started shooting.

Anthony told troopers the women were in the home's living room Wednesday night. After they kissed, Evans went into a back room and came out with a handgun.

Troopers did not immediately know who the gun belonged to.

Evans shot Anthony first. Anthony fled into the street and was shot more than once, Wilkinson said.

Evans chased Greenway into the home's dining room, where she collapsed into a defensive position and was shot more than once, Wilkinson said.

Evans then chased his wife into the home's garage and shot her multiple times, Wilkinson said. He turned the gun on himself and shot himself once in the head, Wilkinson said. Troopers found the bodies there.

Evans fired at least 11 rounds.

Anthony, who had run outside in his bare feet, waited until he heard the shooting stop and went back into the house.

He called 911 and collapsed as he talked to a dispatcher, Wilkinson said.

Greenway was stabilized at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and transported to another hospital, according to Elizabeth Ripley, spokeswoman for Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Anthony was listed in fair condition Thursday, which means his vital signs were within normal range, and he was conscious, she said.

Troopers will conduct toxicology reports to determine whether Evans was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

&#8220We'll certainly be looking at that,” Wilkinson said.

However, he said, he was not sure how extensive the investigation will be since there is no one to prosecute.
