Wasilla teens help with boxes

To the editor:

Monday evening the Conservative Patriot Group sponsored a town hall at the Wasilla High School theater.

In the late afternoon I was unloading numerous supplies for the event from my vehicle when a large group of girls came out of one door while I was desperately trying to open another door. One girl came to my rescue and offered to take the boxes where they needed to go. Immediately her friends joined in with the kind offer of help.

Soon the car was emptied and the boxes were put into the theater, right where they needed to be.

I just want to express my admiration for those caring young women, whom I found out were all members of the Wasilla Warriors basketball team. Thanks for being so thoughtful. I was impressed that it was all their idea to assist me. Their random act of kindness made my day. There was a young man in the bunch too; don’t quite know how he fit in, but I thank him as well.

No one can tell me that our youth are “going to the dogs.” These Wasilla Warriors represented their school, their families and themselves in a most honorable way. Thank you again.
