The Wasilla Warriors enjoyed a solid game of hockey Saturday by dominating the Homer Mariners for a 7-1 victory at Brett Memorial Ice Arena.
"We did well tonight," said Wasilla coach Wade Schachle. "We were trying to get our lines down that we will use for the next few games and regions."
The Warriors controlled the game from the onset, denying Homer good opportunities to score while pounding the Mariners goaltender with 39 shots on goal.
Derek Banbury, John Schmelz and Andrew Tumbleson each scored two goals in the game with Jeff Owen scoring the remaining goal.
Jamie Roberts had three assists in the game with Tyler Kaufman contributing two.
The win gave the Warriors two wins on consecutive nights after defeating Skyview 4-0 Friday.
