The Wasilla girls' volleyball team has advanced to the Northern Lights Conference regional finals tomorrow at Skyview High School.
The Warriors' 3-1 win over Colony today (25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 25-21) earned them a place in the finals and an automatic qualification for the state championship tournament, which will be held next week at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla.
Wasilla will play the winner of the Palmer/Skyview match in the finals.
Colony still has a shot at qualifying for state. The Knights need to win their third-place regional match Saturday to get in.
