WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors scored a 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-21) win over rival Colony Sept. 22 at Wasilla High School.

Wasilla improved to 2-1 in Northern Lights Conference play with the win. The Knights dropped to 0-6.

Lindsey Cizek led the Warriors with 19 assists in the win. Brooke Queripel added a team-high nine kills, and Cate Currier chipped in a half-dozen kills and team-high five digs. Wasilla plays at rival Palmer Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and travels to Kodiak to meet the Bears Oct. 2-3.

Colony’s upcoming matches include dates at East Anchorage on Tuesday and Palmer on Oct. 6.

Interior teams beat Valley squads

A pair of Fairbanks squads swept Valley teams in nonconference action Thursday night.

West Valley beat Palmer 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-18) and Lathrop beat Colony 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-21).
