A 36-year old Wasilla woman is dead following a Thursday night, single-vehicle accident in Wasilla.

According to a Alaska State Troopers online dispatch, Amanda Doherty, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident reported just before midnight. According to the report, Troopers were called to the intersection of Schrock and North Infinite Loop roads, where they determined the driver of a 1996 Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll multiple times before leaving the road. The driver was not identified by troopers.

Doherty, a 16-year old male passenger as well as the driver were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. The driver and teen were transported to a local hospital and, police say, are expected to live.
