WASILLA — The death of a 74-year old Wasilla woman may have been the result of a moose encounter.

Alaska State Troopers were called to a residence on Timberview Drive in Settler’s Bay on Sunday around 3:17 p.m. to investigate a deceased person report. Troopers stated 74-year old Pattie Cucinello was found in front of her home in her driveway.

The state medical examiner’s office responded to the scene and reported no foul play was suspected.

Police report moose tracks were found in the yard but have not made a direct link as the cause of death.
